Unlike fat which is stored energy, muscles are living tissues. Similar to any other living things, muscles need calories to survive. Muscle utilizes calories to stay on the body. That means, the more muscles a person have, the more calories he will need to maintain. Therefore weight loss bodybuilding is about losing fat and not muscles.
If you are keen to lose weight, you’ll naturally tend to do a lot of cardio exercises. This may enable you to lose weight, but most of the people don’t know that much of the weight loss bodybuilding, they get is not necessarily the fat loss. There is a lot of muscle loss as well.
This is one of the biggest mistake people tend to do. Since smaller muscles burn fewer calories and due to this weight loss starts to slow down. As a result weight loss bodybuilding becomes even more difficult. To get desired results, you tend to increase the amount of cardio exercises. And what will be the end result? You will have a body without muscles which is neither attractive nor healthy.
